We often get questions about the pricing of our hydraulic presses and why we don't offer stainless steel barrels like some other suppliers. I want to take a moment to provide a thorough and honest explanation.
It's true that our machine barrels are not made of stainless steel, and there's a very good reason for this. Our smallest model exerts a pressure of 106 tons. For the barrel to withstand such immense pressure:
Thickness is critical: Stainless steel would need to be incredibly thick to handle these forces. A thinner stainless steel simply wouldn't be able to bear the high pressure involved in our hydraulic operations.
Durability and wear: Hydraulic presses operate through constant up-and-down motion to compress materials. Stainless steel is prone to scratching. In this high-friction environment, a stainless steel barrel would quickly become scratched and compromised, affecting performance and lifespan.
Cost implications: Currently, the raw material cost for 304 stainless steel is around $1,889 per ton, and that's before any manufacturing or processing costs. If you find a machine priced below this, you can imagine the compromises being made in materials or quality.
We believe in complete transparency. We make sure to discuss all these factors with you before any transaction. We don't engage in deceptive business practices because integrity is at the core of how we operate.
As the old Chinese saying goes, "You get what you pay for." While some might promise you a $100 value for a dollar, the reality is that such a deal often ends up costing you far more in the long run due to hidden issues or compromised quality. We aim to provide durable, high-performing machines that deliver genuine value and reliability.
